Construction & Earthwork Analysis
Atlas Mapping Solutions supports construction and development projects with repeatable, high-density aerial LiDAR datasets for grading analysis, earthwork quantification, progress monitoring, and as-built documentation. RTK-enabled acquisition with PPK redundancy ensures consistent alignment between repeat flights, supporting accurate change detection and volumetric comparison across project phases.

Grading & Volumes: 3D terrain models support cut/fill calculations and grading verification.
Progress Monitoring: Repeat acquisitions track stockpiles, excavations, and structural development.
Accuracy: Ground mapping accuracy is approximately 3–5 cm RMSE. Relative consistency between flights typically supports change detection near 1–2 cm.
Speed: Entire sites can be surveyed in a single flight. Final datasets are typically delivered within 5–10 business days.
Deliverables: Point clouds, DTMs, CAD contours, BIM-ready models, volume reports, and QA documentation.
LiDAR vs Traditional Survey: Conventional stakeout captures limited points. LiDAR captures full-site coverage, reducing missed features while maintaining required control points for legal reference.
Applications: Site grading, utility layout, road alignment, foundation preparation, demolition mapping, and as-built verification.
